Setup: Define audience and job-to-be-done

[AUDIENCE ROLES/TITLES]; [AUDIENCE COUNT]; [SPONSOR/DECISION-MAKER]; [RELATIONSHIP HISTORY]; [CONTEXT/MEETING TYPE]; [DECISION NEEDED]; [WHY NOW]; [CURRENT STATE VS DESIRED STATE]; [PRIMARY OUTCOME METRIC]; [SECONDARY OUTCOMES]; [NON-GOALS]; [AUDIENCE KNOWLEDGE LEVEL]; [AUDIENCE MOTIVATIONS]; [KNOWN OBJECTIONS]; [RISKS IF NO DECISION]
Act as a presentation strategist and JTBD interviewer to anchor the entire deck on the audience’s decision and what will move them.
Work through it like this:
1) Identify segments: primary decision-maker(s), approvers, influencers, blockers; note decision rights and influence level per segment.
2) For each segment, write a Jobs-to-be-Done line: “When [situation], I want to [progress], so I can [desired outcome]” including functional, emotional, and social jobs.
3) Define the single critical decision we need in the room and the minimum sufficient evidence to say yes.
4) Map stakes and timing: why this matters now, upside if yes, downside if no; link to metrics that matter to them.
5) Draft the Audience Brief that future steps will use verbatim.
Give me the output as: Audience Brief with sections: 1) Who’s in the room (segments, counts, decision rights); 2) Decision we need; 3) Jobs-to-be-Done per segment; 4) Context & timing (why now, history); 5) Success metrics (primary, secondary); 6) Risks, non-goals, known objections.
Quality bar: Another manager can skim in 60 seconds and accurately predict what to exclude from the deck.
If any field is unknown, ask targeted questions; if still unavailable, mark MISSING (no assumptions).
